ROSH CHODESH
Rosh Chodesh is a small festival that takes place on the first day of each month. Women had the day off, they have to do any kind of work on Rosh Chodesh. A midrash, the body of exegesis of Torah text, the body of exegesis of Torah texts explains that each twelve tribes of Israel, represents one of the three partiarchs. Due to the immoral action of the Golden Calf, the holiday was given strictly to women. It was taken away from men and given to women as a gift for women not taking any part of the Golden Calf. |
