THE MEANING OF THE VEIL
The veil is a style of clothing worn by Muslim women that covers the head and chest. It is worn beyond the age of puberty to in the presence of adult males outside their immediate family. It is required for women to wear the veil only in some Muslim countries. In other countries such as Turkey and Egypt, women are beginning to wear the veil. They believe wearing the veil gives women more personality and power.

WOMEN ARE REBELLING
In certain cultures, women are given strict rules. They are forbidden from leaving their own homes without a companion. They aren't allowed to travel without asking their husbands for permission first. This restrictions make it harder for women to go to school and get an education participate in athletics, or find a job. However, women are starting to fight back for their rights. For example, in Saudi Arabia, women were not allow to drive. But some women have begun to drive in public areas, demanding changes in these laws. Protests have occurred which has challenged many laws and has effectively forced to government to overlook them. Women now lead prayers along with men in mosques and employment rates has risen.

MISS KUBRA NURZAI
Kubra Nurzai is the first female minister of Afghanistan. The third Afghan Constitution was the first to give women the right to vote and enter parliament as elected candidates. Kubra Nurzai was appointed Minister of Public Health in 1965 and re-appointed again in the year of 1967.

Fawzia Koofi became a candidate for President of Afghanistan in 2014 after being elected Vice President of the National Assembly of Afghanistan in 2005. She is the first female Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament during her Vice President term.
