In the Buddhist religion there were three texts which were extremely noteable for them. The texts were the Tripitaka, Mahayana Sutras, and Tibetan Book of the Dead.
- The Tripitaka means three baskets and it is the name for various scriptures that make one.
- The Mahayana Sutras are over two thousand written works and they describe different sermons or traditions.
- The Tibetean Book of The Dead is a book of liberation for dead people.
