Many features of Jewish music arose from biblical times, the melodies and sounds can be found between different Jewish communities and societies. They all differentiate because each community has a distinct way in which their musically has been shaped. In the 19th century, Jewish music leaned more towards the classical side but over time the style of music has been influenced by the different ways and traditions.
